What You Think You Want… What You Really Need…

What do you really want?

Let me put some context into that question for you…

*Phone Pings*

“Hi, I am looking to lose weight and I wondering if you have any spaces for personal training?”

Now, do not get me wrong, this is a fantastic thing.

This person has come to a position where they want to make a change.

They want to look better 💃🏽

Feel better 🙂

And they want to have more confidence in their body shape ⌛️

But do they really want to “train”?

Or are they somebody who has never stepped foot in a gym?

Hates the thought of it 🥴

Would not enjoy it 😖

And just thinks that training like a lunatic a couple of times a week is the way to shred fat? 🤮

I have two options here.

The first option is…

I can take their money 💷

Give them one or two training sessions a week 🤢

Not truly care about their real goals 🙄

And send them on their way 👋🏻👋🏻

With absolutely no focus on their lifestyle, their nutrition, or their difficulties when it comes to them actually losing weight.

Which in all honesty is not actually going to get them to their goal that they are paying their hard-earned money for.

The second option is…

That we take away the dread of actually walking into a gym to be flogged half to death on an assault bike every week.

Tell them that they do not have to become a “gym bunny” to lose weight and improve their health.

That I can work with them closely on a private 1-1 basis.

To find out what their real issues are that are holding them back from fat loss.

Give them unbelievable support and coaching.

And create them a journey of weight loss that actually works for them.

Without the restriction and endless HIIT classes in a gym that they would hate every minute of.

All while giving them all of the educational learning platform and resources that they will ever need to nail their actual goal of fat loss.

With a little bit of work on activity thrown in to help their health.

And the end result is exactly what they REALLY wanted.

Training should be there to be enjoyed and to build a stronger body.

Not there to be used as the main thing for weight loss.

There is far more to real weight loss than a few hours in a gym a week 🤓
