What You Really Need Versus What You Think That You Need…

The other day.

I recorded an off-the-cuff video.

Which was inspired by an enquiry that I received for Personal Training.

To cut a long story short.

Once I had dug into the needs of this person.

I told them that I was NOT going to take their money off them for my PT service.

Why? You may ask?

Well…

If I told you that this person wanted to lose body fat.

Improve their general health.

And completely transform their body shape.

But absolutely HATED the gym with a passion.

Would you sell them a block of PT sessions?

Because I wouldn’t.

It would be absolutely counterproductive for them for their fat loss goals.

And instead of looking forward to the life-changing journey of weight loss that lay ahead.

If they were in the gym every day “grinding”.

In pain.

Unhappy.

And feeling as though they were being watched and judged by others.

They would absolutely end up begrudging it.

And that is not a good mix for a successful weight loss journey.

So what did I do instead?

I told them that I wanted to give them the best chance of achieving their goal.

And to do that.

I advised the potential need for daily personal coaching.

A structure that worked for them.

And education around health and fat loss nutrition that would help change their mindset forever.

As well as looking at some small increase in their activity.

Outside of a gym environment.

Not some mad HIIT class at 6 am in the morning before work every day.

That they would hate.

And give up after a week.

So…

What did this person say?

Well, they absolutely got it.

They understood my points.

They realised that what they needed was not what they were asking for.

And I think that I will see them on the next intake of my 1-1 online weight loss nutrition consultancy.

Then??

I will change their life.

Forever 🙂
