What Should I Eat on Christmas Day?

“What should I eat on Christmas day?”

A question that I get asked A LOT over the festive period.

And as a Nutritionist, I think that people are always surprised at my answer.

Because when it comes to Christmas day.

I tell people to eat whatever the heck they want.

Why?

Because, well, it’s CHRISTMAS!

Just remember.

Christmas day is just one day of the year.

And if you are stressing out about what you should or should not be eating on Christmas day.

In fear of putting on weight.

Then the chances are that you are probably getting the other 364 days of the year completely wrong when it comes to your nutrition.

And especially your mindset around nutrition.

Because if you have the underpinning values already in place throughout the year of nutrition.

Then one (or a few) days is no big deal when it comes to having some pigs in blankets, a few chocolates, or a couple of glasses of wine.

It really isn’t.

This is why I spend so much time throughout the year educating my clients when it comes to nutrition.

And why I spend so much time working on their mindsets around nutrition and coaching them on a personal level.

I want my clients to enjoy Christmas.

And I want them to be relaxed around food over the festive period.

Because living a life where we cannot enjoy special occasions with family and friends.

Is not a life that is very fun.

Not in my book anyway.

So, what is your choice going to be for Christmas dinner this year?

A full traditional Christmas dinner?

A vegan dish?

Or something completely different?

Let me know below 🙂

Oh, and while you are here.

Check out my little recipe for a tasty Christmas Cranberry Sauce.
