I spend a lot of time on my social media channels talking about what I do now.
And how my life these days is very much dedicated to helping people lose weight and improve their health.
So today I am going to change it up a little.
I am going to talk about what I used to dedicate my life to.
Before all I did was talk about nutrition!
And before I started to go grey 👴🏻
It does seem like a lifetime ago now.
I have been “retired” from boxing for around 9 years!
But all my time and effort used to go into boxing.
I was lucky enough to box both on the amateur boxing circuit.
And also the professional boxing circuit too.
I do not talk that much about my career in boxing.
I had a very mixed record.
And I was by no means a “world beater”.
But what I was back in those days was dedicated.
And I just lived the sport.
Boxing gave me so much.
It shaped my life.
And it still does to this day.
Boxing is a tough sport.
It is not for everyone.
But it gave me so much personally.
- Discipline.
- Respect for myself.
- Respect for others.
- Integrity in defeat.
And it taught me how to deal with life.
I will always be in love with this sport.
And I will always have a huge amount of respect for boxing mentors.
Both past and present.
And I would not be where I am today without them.
They know who they are 💙
