This Isn’t Just Me Posting A Pic Of My Dinner!…

The other night.

I posted a picture on my story.

Of my Teriyaki salmon, green veg, and pak choi with sesame seeds.

Now, looking back.

I think that it is important for me to put some context into it.

Because I think sometimes as a nutritionist.

People just think that I live on these kinds of meals every minute of the day.

Now, do not get me wrong.

There are lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean cuts of meat within my weekly diet.

But I have to be completely transparent too.

Because like the clients that I work with.

I am a very real person.

Leading a very real life.

And it just is not realistic for me to eat like this all the time.

I have my fair share of nutrient-dense food.

But I also have my fair share of what you would probably call “less optimal” foods too.

Like you.

I also have busy days.

I also have days where I am running around like a numpty.

And sometimes it can be stressful.

I am only human.

I too reach for the chocolate sometimes.

The odd biscuit.

Occasionally I crack a beer.

And that is ok.

Regardless of what the painfully boring highlight reel on Insta may have you believe.

The only difference is.

Over the years.

I have built solid habits around nutrition.

I have learned to control my calories in ways that do not restrict me.

And I have learned that nutrition is all about having a mindset about the bigger picture.

So when I do have a bar of chocolate.

I do not stress.

Or even worse.

Go and punish myself in the gym for an hour for eating it.

That is not a healthy relationship or mindset around food.

It is not the place that I want to be in.

And neither is it where I want to see my weight loss clients.

This is why within my nutrition service.

You will not see.

Any fad diets.

Or any form of restriction.

Just a plan and a structure that works for people.

And their lives 🙂
