Managing Weight Loss Expectation…

I was speaking to some of my clients yesterday about managing weight loss expectations.

With all the misleading and false claims out there regarding weight loss.

I think that it is important to let them know what it actually entails to illicit real fat loss.

All people see across social media, and the media itself is ludicrous claims of diets that “incinerate body fat”.

And diets that claim to be the “new” best way to lose weight.

Let me just say something about this.

If somebody is telling you that their diet is the “best” diet.

Then I personally would be running a million miles in the opposite direction of them.

Because if they are claiming to have some weight loss “hack”, then they really are living on a different planet to you.

As a Certified Nutritionist, I have many tools in my toolbox when it comes to methods of weight loss.

Over the years of experience that I have gained in the industry.

And the many, many weight loss clients that I have worked with.

I can tell you categorically that there is no “best” diet that should have a blanket prescription for weight loss.

You have to know who you are working with.

And you have to know what tools to use with them for the best results.

Because giving stupid information and restrictive targets to people is the quickest way to lead them into disordered eating patterns.

And as professionals, we should be looking after people.

Not creating them potential issues.

Don’t just blindly follow a random plan that has no rationale behind it.

And then just sit there crossing your fingers praying for weight loss.

It just does not happen like that.

And as somebody who has struggled for years with weight loss.

You deserve much better from this industry.
