Looking Back Over 10 Years…

I got tagged in a picture yesterday by one of my good friends.

Well, I say, good friend, he more like an older brother to me.

(Like how I got the “older” bit in there)

Anyway.

The picture got me thinking.

And it got me looking back on how far I have personally come in those years since that picture was taken.

Back then, I was a professional boxer, and I was also a Personal Trainer.

My idea of training and nutrition back then was completely different from what they are now.

Back then, I would train 7 days a week like a lunatic.

Restrict my food to ridiculous levels to make an unsustainable weight.

And live a hugely boring life where I refused to enjoy myself around social occasions for the fear of eating or drinking too much.

Looking back now.

It was not much of a life if I am being completely honest.

Fast forward 10 years.

I have learned sustainable ways to manage my training and my nutrition to stay in good and healthy shape all year round.

Without the restriction.

And without the boredom.

I have also been educated by some of the brightest and evidence-based minds in the industry over the last 10 years.

And I now use that vast experience and knowledge to help other people to be as healthy as possible and to lose their unwanted weight.

In a manageable and sustainable way.

That will last them a lifetime.

That photo from yesterday was a real blast from the past.

But it really did make me sit down and realise how far I have come as a person, and as a coach.

And how my work and goals are now centered purely around helping other people to lose weight and improve their health.

Without the confusion.

Without the restriction.

And in the right way.

I absolutely love helping people to change their lives.

And helping them to love what they see in the mirror again 🙂
