Feeling Guilty & Restricted About Your Weight Loss?

Another word that I hear from new clients that I work with when it comes to nutrition.

Is “guilt”.

When I go through their current eating habits with them before we start a weight loss journey.

The number of times that I hear the sentence “I know that I shouldn’t eat that” is said, really is staggering.

The individual says this with a guilty tone.

And says it as though eating a certain palatable food that they favour, is the worst nutritional sin committed known to man.

And I think that it says more about the nutrition industry than it does of the person.

Because people eating a bar of chocolate or having the odd bottle of beer is not something that people who are seeking weight loss should feel guilty about.

And they shouldn’t be made to feel guilty about it either.

I am a Certified Nutritionist and even I do not want to go through the rest of my life eating only chicken and broccoli.

I could not think of anything more boring.

And I actually like to live my life!

Now, before all of you health-seeking people who live on bird seed every day jump down my throat.

I am not saying that people shouldn’t be consuming less processed foods and including lots more wholesome foods like fruits and vegetables into their diets.

But what I am saying is that people should not be judged for having a glass of wine or a donut as part of their weight loss journey.

That’s right, believe it or not, you can actually lose weight and still enjoy your life while making progress with a weight loss journey.

Who knew!?

You just have to work with somebody who knows what they are doing.

And who can help you to structure something that works for you.

Without the restriction.

If you want to learn how.

I would be only too happy to speak with you 🙂
