Does “Fasted” Cardio Work Better For Weight Loss?

“Train on an empty stomach, it is better for weight loss!”

A statement that I have heard thrown around the industry for many years now.

So, is it true?

Does training “fasted” help you to lose more weight?

Well, I can put this one to bed pretty quickly today.

Which is useful.

Because I have a call in exactly 30 minutes with a weight loss client of mine.

And being a bloke.

I don’t multitask very well 🙂

Anyway.

Back to the question.

When it comes to cardio in a fed or fasted state, there is very little difference when it comes to weight loss.

Regardless of what you have been, or are being told.

What is important here, however, is how it makes YOU feel.

I know many people who train fasted in the morning and feel absolutely fantastic for it.

They feel energised and ready for the training session to begin.

But I also know and coach others who would crash and burn without any food in their system to train on.

And they have to eat before they commence their training sessions.

You see, it is absolutely down to personal preference when it comes to training fed or fasted.

And what works best for you.

But when it comes to the training fasted being superior for weight loss.

That is just a myth.
