Cutting Out Foods For Weight Loss…

Right then.

Before I put some context into what I am saying.

And before some absolute Karen jumps all over this.

Let me just be clear.

If you have been advised by a medical professional to cut out a certain type of food from your diet.

Do it.

I am clearly not talking about you.

What I am talking about, however, is the seemingly burning need for some people to get individuals looking to lose body fat, to cut out certain types of foods.

“Don’t eat chocolate, you will get fat!”

“Don’t drink diet drinks, the sweeteners can cause disease!”

And my personal favourite…

“Cut out carbs, you will never lose weight eating bread!”

All of which is normally advised by people who do not really have a great understanding of weight loss nutrition.

And I think that we need to take this crazy mindset of restriction away from dieting.

I am not saying that we should not be aiming to be consuming plenty of fruits and vegetables.

That is obvious to pretty much everybody on the planet.

But we certainly should not be guilt-tripping people on a daily basis into cutting out certain food types.

In a belief that it is going to fix their fat loss.

Take it from me.

Unless you are a professional athlete.

Putting somebody on a super restrictive diet is complete madness.

And can lead to all sorts of problems down the line.

Yes, there is a way to coach somebody to fat loss.

But cutting out and restricting every single thing that they enjoy is not one of them.

No matter what your local weight loss club leader tells you…
