Comparison… The Thief of Joy.

They say that comparison is the thief of joy.

And I do not think that there is a truer saying in the world that we live in today.

You only have to look across social media to see this happening on a daily basis.

And I believe that it is causing people many, many issues.

We now live in a world where we are consuming content on a daily basis of people “living their best lives”

Where we see people who seemingly look to have it all.

And who look to have the “perfect” body and the “perfect” life.

And I just feel that consuming this content on a daily basis does nothing for our own journey of development.

Whether that be health, weight loss, or body image.

I feel that we need to understand and realise that nobody else has our lives.

And we do not have theirs.

So comparing yourself to others for me is the fastest route to despair and sadness.

We need to run our own race in life.

Create the life that we want.

And that serves us.

Whatever other people may think of that.

And whatever people’s opinions of that may be.

Because at the end of the day.

Nobody else’s opinion matters about you and your life.

Apart from your own.

Other people do not live your life.

Have your workload.

Or have your struggles.

So their opinions are irrelevant.

I am always keen to get this message across to my clients inside my consultancy.

And I am keen that they build their own self-worth and confidence in themselves.

It helps them to achieve amazing results.

So if there is one thing to take away from this post today.

It is this.

Run your own race in life.

And do not compare yourself to other people.

It is a sure-fire route to misery.

You have to realise that being you is enough.

And that anybody who does not like that.

Should be cut loose from your life.

Surround yourself with people who want you to win in life.

Not the people who secretly want you to lose 👀
